Rational & Study Design
Why I created this challenge:
In a digital age brimming with fitness fads and supplement claims, distinguishing fact from fiction is essential. Academic research supports creatine's role in enhancing exercise performance, but its impact on general health and mood, paralleled with bodyweight exercises, is less documented. Social media teems with anecdotal success stories, yet lacks robust scientific validation. This study aims to credibly quantify these effects, offering concrete data on a popular, yet scientifically ambiguous practice.
My Objective for You:
Through this challenge, I aim to help you scientifically validate the effects of daily bodyweight exercises and RealPharm Creatine supplementation on your physical function and mood over 91 days.
Aims & Objectives:
The primary aim is to assess changes in physical function and mood from baseline to day 91 using the PROMIS Physical Function – Short Form 10a Survey and Oura Activity data. The secondary objective is to evaluate the adherence and response to the combined regimen of bodyweight exercises and creatine supplementation.
Significance & Impact:
This challenge stands to bridge the gap between anecdotal evidence and scientific data, providing insight into how everyday activities supplemented with creatine affect physical and mental health. The outcomes could guide future recommendations for holistic health practices, though variations in individual adherence and biological response may influence results.
